historical photographs from the Munster area of ??Ireland National Library collections are on Flickr, the photo-sharing site. Viewers can comment and share their knowledge about the pictures of counties Limerick, Clare and Kerry, which dates from the late 20 19 until the middle of the “Munsterset” National Library photosteam Flickr.

Munsterset is a collaborative working group on a pilot survey of user-centered stories Munster using historical photographs from the National Library on Flickr. Group members are Ciara Breathnach (University of Limerick), Liam Irwin (Thomond Historical Society & Mary Immaculate College, Limerick), Lorna Moloney (Merriman Research) and Joanna Finegan (National Library).

Awards for Member Thomond Society

Congratulations Diane Hodnett Thomond Society member who has just received an award from the best dog food Industrial Heritage Association of Ireland in his book Metal Mines West Cork, who was considered the best book published in 2010, the industrial heritage of Ireland. Diane presented her a medal in Dublin March 9th day.
